Charlotte FC and FC Dallas both made potential MLS record-setting trade offers to D.C. United for midfielder Paul Arriola, MLSSoccer.com reported Wednesday.
The offers are reportedly in the $2 million range in general allocation money.
The current league record is $1.2 million in GAM, set in December when the New York Red Bulls acquired winger Lewis Morgan from Inter Miami CF.
Arriola, 26, tallied six goals and four assists in 20 matches (19 starts) in his fifth season at D.C. United in 2021. His career totals include 20 goals and 16 assists in 89 games (83 starts) since 2017.
ESPN and other outlets previously reported that Club America of Liga MX have also expressed interest in signing the U.S. national team winger.
