Energy Marketing Conferences announced that it is running a free webinar entitled "The Pros and Cons of Competitive Energy" on Tuesday September 29th at 11:00am. EMC also announced a first-time-ever "Speed-Dating Program" that will enhance the networking experience at the event taking place virtually on November 17th, 18th and 19th. Speed Dating will take place from 12:30pm - 5:30pm Eastern time all three days of the conference. EMC is expecting more than 1,000 attendees who will attend all three days free of charge.
The Webinar will feature Maria S. Bocanegra, Commissioner with the Illinois Commerce Commission, Upendra J. Chivukula, Commissioner to the N.J. Board of Public Utilities, Travis Kavulla, VP of regulatory affairs at NRG and Frank McGovern, President and founder of Clearview Energy. It will be moderated by Jack Doueck, Co-founded of EMC and Principal of Advanced Energy Capital. The discussion will center around the benefits to consumers of deregulated energy.
Speed Dating at the Energy Marketing Conference will allow Sponsors to select from the list of participating Retail Energy Providers ("REPs") and have up to six "speed dates", each lasting ten minutes
Highest level sponsors of the Energy Marketing Conference will have their first choice of REPs to meet.
"Vendors who sell their products and services to the retail energy industry and who are trying to present their companies to REPS are lining up to sponsor the Energy Marketing Conference so that they can get 6 speed dates for 10 minutes each," said Jack Doueck, co-founder of EMC. "They see this as an amazing opportunity, and for good reason."
